Guildford Lido Introduction |
|
Customer Information
The 2008 and 75th season at Guildford Lido is now over. The Lido management and staff would like to thank all their swimmers for their custom and will welcome them all again in April 2009.
|
Guildford’s open-air pool, the Lido, is open during the summer season from April to mid September. Set in 4½ acres of beautifully landscaped gardens and heated to 24 degrees centigrade, the Olympic sized pool is a great place to chill out, meet friends, picnic and of course, do some serious swimming!
The Lido is one of Guildford’s hidden treasures. Tucked away next to Guildford College and 1 minute from the A3, it is one of the country’s few remaining original 1930’s pools. Extensively refurbished by Guildford Borough Council over the last few years, it welcomes an average of 70,000 people every season and is home for a variety of community galas, competitions and parties.
The Lido is also home to the Workshop Gym, which opened in 2003 and
is Guildford’s only heavy weight sports gym.
